When Life gets in the way.

What a year! 2025 feels like a drunken college kid that hasn't quite found himself yet and continues to switch between his 6 or so different personalities. This sentiment is not isolated to us, the whole world has been spinning (see what i did there,lol).

For us, the year has been wrought with health battles, graduating fleshlings and even one of them heading off to the ARMY! Yes, the Boy Child, despite many pleas from his mother to the contrary, has become "A Few Good Men" and is "In the Army Now".

All of this, along with shuttling and rental kayaks, has kept us busier than we would ever want to be. The realization that if we are renting our fleet out all the time, or spending our few free weekends shuttling others around, doesn't really leave any time for our own adventures. The few adventures we have had this year have been, gasp... planned! Ew, scheduled adventures are THE WORST, and no one can convince me otherwise.

So it should be no shocker to learn that we are stepping away from offering tours, shuttles and rentals. At least for the time being. Who knows what 2026 will bring.

We will continue blogging here when we can and we want to start sharing our kayak paddle tracks so others can see where have been and have recent trail reports of our favorite spots.
